Cody + Darcie | Wedding at The Matthews House, Cary

Where do I begin with these lovebirds?  I took Cody and Darcie’s engagement photos at JC Raulston Arboretum last year, and began learning of their love story together.  Watching them interact and engage with each other was really special.  Seeing the details unfold and Darcie’s vision come to life for this wedding has been unreal.  She and Cody know all the “right people” and had so many friends and family members contributing to make this day super special for them.  From her great-aunt’s sugar cookie recipe to florals made by her mother, handmade touches throughout and even using Cody’s DJ expertise to get guests to boogie with the music they love.

It rained something fierce that day, a tradition it seems is being passed through all of Darcie’s friends, but the skies opened up for a beautiful ceremony with beautiful arrangements of Disney songs playing as they walked down the aisle.  The day (and the newlyweds) are like characters from a fairytale, and they are living their “Happily Ever After”.

 

Dear Cody & Darcie,

Thank you for inviting me to capture your wedding day.  I couldn’t be more lucky to be witness to your love story.  Your dedication to each other is obvious, and I’ve never met a more tender or compassionate couple.  I am looking forward to seeing your family storybook fill up with your life story together.  And, as the story goes – “Adventure Awaits”!  I feel so lucky to have been a part of your magical wedding day and be witness to your dedication to each other.
