Q: I do not live in North Carolina. Can you work with me?
A: OF COURSE! I work with crafters and companies from around the globe, big and small. Just because you’re a crafty mama earning a few bucks to pay for diapers (listen girl… I’m right there with ya!) doesn’t mean you can’t have amazing product images. You don’t have time to manage the house, run a business, and figure out how to work the dang camera. The word “delegate” comes to mind… Do what you do best (make!) and let a professional do the picture-taking.
Q: How does product photography work?
A: Super easy. If you’re local to the Raleigh, NC area – Howdy, neighbor! Let’s meet up for ice cream and you can tell me all about your business. I’d love to get to know you and get a feel for how your brand speaks. I’ll borrow your item(s) to take some gorgeous pictures of, and we’ll arrange to trade-off again when they’re done.
If you’re not fortunate enough to live in the City of Oaks, not to worry! I’ve been at this for years. Once we figure out the scope and timeline of your project, simply ship your item(s) to me. I’ll work my magic, and send you a gallery of images. Then, if you want your items back, you will provide a pre-paid shipping label to me and I’ll package everything back up just as it was and send it all right back to you. If you don’t want your items back, I will donate/distribute/dispose.
Q: The products I sell are one-of-a-kind. It doesn’t make sense to hire someone to take pictures, does it?
A: WRONG! And I say that in the kindest way possible. ❤ These days, it’s not always about the listing itself, but more about your branding and promotion. Consumers are very visual now that we have technology so readily at our fingertips. Stop Instagrammers in their scroll with a show-stopper piece you’ve created. Just because you can’t make another exactly like it, doesn’t mean that image doesn’t hold its weight in gold!
Q: I want artist pictures and/or photos of my place of business. How do we get started?
A: As much as I love creating sets in my home studio, I love on-location shoots as well! We’ll schedule a time to each work our magic in your studio/restaurant/etc to show it off. I will photograph the space, the people, and whatever it is you create – You name it!
