I Love the Trees – Amanda Brendle Photography | Greenville, NC Photographer

I was on campus at East Carolina University recently for a senior photo shoot, and it was such a beautiful day!  I got there a little early to walk around and prepare (usual), but I noticed a lot of the trees in the mall area had some strange markings on them.  I couldn’t tell what they were from far away, so of course I had to go investigate!  Once I got closer, I saw what was going on, and I thought, “How FUN?!” I am a total “earthie” if you didn’t know.. I recycle pretty much anything, and can’t bear the thought of not reusing a glass container.  Those of you who don’t know me personally probably aren’t aware that before I really got into photography, I was very involved in eco-friendly crafting and entrepreneurship.. I created a business my senior year of high school in e-commerce and selling my wares at local craft shows.  I had so much fun with it and gained so much knowledge about the hand-crafting world!  I am still pretty involved, but in other capacities.. I don’t have much time to be crafty these days, but I enjoy the opportunity every chance I get!

Anyways, back to this wonderful sight to see at ECU.. enjoy!  It was so cool to see, and is a great way to remember Earth Day is not just one day a year.. it’s empowerment that should last throughout the year!  Yes, the earth-lover and eco-conscious side of me may have publicly subsided since focusing my efforts more on photography, but I still find it very important to be as mindful as you can of waste, carbon footprints, and reusing what you can!  Of course, you can recycle nearly anything these days.. so take time today to find a recycling bin for that can of soda today rather than the garbage can.. it will help the environment so future generation can enjoy the simple pleasures we have today!
