Angelyn was one of my very first clients when I first got into the world of portrait photography (I had no idea what I was getting myself into at the time!). Â I was so new to the stage that our first session was kind of awkward (How much are we supposed to talk? Â How am I supposed to pose her? Â What do I do with my hands??), but she has such a spunky personality and was totally easy going that it made my job so much easier starting out.
I continued to break into the portrait photography world because I immediately loved it, and gained lots of experience over the years.
She recently contacted me again about getting some updated photography done.  You see, she plays the harp (neatest instrument ever) and performs with symphonies and orchestras all over, and she needs updated headshots from time-to-time.  I was so excited to have the opportunity to work with her again (and possible get some redemption.. that first session wasn’t bad, but I’ve definitely improved and developed a better sense of style since then!).  We went to Tryon Palace in New Bern, NC and got to explore the beautiful gardens that are landscaped year-round.  I had a great time with Angelyn and I think we got some pretty rad shots.  Here are a few sneak peek shots that I picked out for now.. more to come in a later post!
