I recently had the privilege to photograph Howard Stearn (No, not Howard Stern!).  He and his wife, Courtney, are friends of mine through the East Carolina University Marching Band –  Courtney has been the feature twirler for as long as I have been associated with ECU.  Anyways, Howard is running for Greenville City Council as Member at Large.  He wanted me to take his campaign pictures for him, and I was more than happy to spend time with the two of them.  Courtney was a wonderful stylist for the shoot!  She helped pick out all of the clothes, down to the shoes, as well as fully got him ready in the week approaching our scheduled afternoon session.  We had such a fun time together and had lots of great laughs!
Howard works for a major construction company in town, so that’s the significance of the worksite location for part of the session. Â I even got to climb up into a backhoe to get some shots! Â (Boy, was that nerve-wracking.. I was so afraid I was going to push a button on accident or pull a lever in the wrong direction!)
I wish Howard the best of luck in his campaign; he could bring a new, refreshing set of ideas with him and that’s just what we need here in town! Â If he wins the vote in November, we’ll certainly have some celebrating to do. Â 🙂 Â I hope you enjoy these pictures!
